Previously people couldn't change their page username. Once a page username is given then we did not get an option to change, if it is misspelled or not. People could easily sell his page to others who can thereby misuse the fans from the page, because of the privacy problems.
But now facebook have changed their conditions of the page username. This modification may be based on the increasing request from the users itself. If some one had made their page username wrongly or have misspelled it, they have an option to change their page username. So facebook have given this good opportunity for all such users. But a very important thing to be noted is that facebook allows to use this option of changing the username only once after which no changes can be made . So, if you have made a user name before then you are given one chance to change it.
7 months back facebook had changed their conditions for page name as well. Facebook had then allowed to change their page name. Anyone having number of fans below 100 on their page can change their page name any number of times. There was only one condition, that is the page must have less than 100 fans.
How to change page username ?
Go to your facebook page and click on edit page. And select update info
Then select basic information where you can see a username and a change username option below that.
Click on the change username and typ your correct username and save it.
If you change this once you won't be getting another chance for changing it again. So you must careful before making any change. Make sure it is not misspelled again.
