Facebook founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg updated a status on his Facebook profile today about now Facebook has completed 1 billion active users. This is a good news for all Facebook users. And now Facebook is made the number one social networking site in the world with a billion active users. It means there are billion active users using Facebook every month. So obviously we can say Facebook is the number one social networking site in the world, based on the number of active users.
Mark Zuckerberg posted on his Facebook profile:
"This morning, there are more than one billion people using Facebook actively each month. If you're reading this: thank you for giving me and my little team the honor of serving you. Helping a billion people connect is amazing, humbling and by far the thing I am most proud of in my life. I am committed to working every day to make Facebook better for you, and hopefully together one day we will be able to connect the rest of the world too."
In July 2012, Facebook had 955 million users.Now after a span of 2 months Facebook users count have reached 1 billion. This shows that 45 million users have increased in such a short period of time. It is a big thing for Facebook and Zuckerberg And now Zuckerberg need to make another billion active users to reach 2 billion active users on Facebook. We will see what happens in another few months.
Facebook had completed 100 million active users in 2008. It was a long journey to reach the count of 100 million active users. From then till today Facebook made a big hit and there was a rapid increase in the number of active users. None of the other social networking sites have these many active users. So, by this we know the importance that people gives to Facebook in their daily life.
